Once you get to developing your characters further more people become interested and invested in your OCs and their lore/backstories!
If you think about it most popular characters started as someone's OCs, especially characters from indie media and look at how big of fandoms they have! So don't be discouraged to draw your OCs because people will start to care ^w^
